Instructor Chris Mahan

I have over 20 years of experience in the martial arts, the last 10 years of which, I’ve focused on Brazilian Jiu-jitsu and Thai Kickboxing.

I have competed in all forms of competition, including kickboxing, mixed martial arts, submission grappling, and Brazilian Jiu-jitsu. I have experience teaching men, women, children, law enforcement and military personnel.

My instruction methods develop a well rounded Brazilian Jiu-jitsu practitioner. I not only teach the sporting aspects of Brazilian Jiu-jitsu, but also the self-defense, mixed martial arts and striking aspects.

Today, I not only teach, but continue to train on a daily basis, compete, conduct seminars, private lessons and teach law enforcement and security personnel. I also augment my training by attending seminars.

A few of my most notable competition accomplishments are:

Jui-Jitsu 2007 Pan Am Championships – Silver Medal – Brown Belt
Jui-Jitsu Grapplers Quest Worlds – Bronze Medal – Advanced No-gi
Jui-Jitsu Dale Earnhardt, Jr. Championships – Silver Medal – Advanced No-gi

Training seminars I have attended have featured great instructors such as:

Gustavo Machado, Tinguinha, Gordinho, Gordo, Soca, Royce Gracie, Royler Gracie, Cauique Elias, Jacare Calvalcanti, Matt Serra, David Adiv, Pedro Sauer, Luis Heredia, Brandon Vera
and many others.
